Despite being in distribution limbo recently, Capcom have formally announced a local distribution partnership with THQ here in Australia, confirming our reported rumour the two would eventually seal the deal after former Capcom Aussie distributor Red-Ant were taken into administration.

"We are excited to be working with Capcom," said Rodney Block, General Manager – THQ Australia/NZ. "Capcom is renowned for great gaming experiences and have such incredible franchises as Street Fighter and Resident Evil. THQ are looking forward to bringing these highly-anticipated Capcom titles to gaming audiences across Australia and New Zealand."

THQ have assured us we'll be seeing scheduled Capcom titles such as Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5 on time with no delay. We also happen to know the THQ PR dudes are rabid Capcom fans, so here's hoping the soon-to-be-released catalogue of Capcom titles get the marketing respect they deserve.
