A significant update for Left 4 Dead has been pushed out by Valve with a stack of changes. The full list is available in
this release but here's a few of the general changes:
General
- Fixed Survivors being able to climb surfaces marked for versus infected only.
- Fixed a class of SurvivorBot bugs dealing with rescuing downed players.
- Players can no longer grab ladders while flying through the air after a Tank punch.
- Shooting near a car with an alarm that has already fired the alarm will no longer make chirping noises.
- Improved loading time.
- Fixed mini-gun physics exploit.
- Fixed propane tanks (and other physics objects) causing players to fall through elevators.
- Fixed rare achievement bug issues.
- Fixed several map exploits.
- Fixed various match making issues.
There are also changes to the Versus mode as well as the Hunter, Smoker, Tank and Witch, so

Meh I thought that was a good thing to have in
hopefully that fixes the bug where the teams are always getting swapped over during a map change. Was lame as.
Good. It was so unbalanced when a tank would spawn of first tier weapons for one team and second for the others.... Auto shotty = instant death for tank.
Lame :( I thought the infected could get some good tactics going with that
Really good changes mostly... few dud ones. Probably wont start playing again until some new content comes in.

Minimum? Lame. I love pouncing from high up in trees and buildings. Max damage I could get before update was 25 (not on fire). Maybe the minimum value stacks on top of height damage? Hope so.

a list of bugs that should never have made it out of testing!!!
if they had released a decent game they could have spent the last couple of months working on updates that actually INCREASE and expand the playability of the game. instead It feels like i've payed alot of hard earned monies for a HL2 Mod.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they mean the lowest amount of damage without height has been increased, I'm sure the height modifiers will still work.

That's beside the point. You were saying that this patch was lame. Sure, I agree that a lot of these things (particularly the matchmaking and team-swapping) should have been addressed before release, but I'm certainly happy that they've been fixed now. I don't see how that's lame.
Haha, yeah, as silly as it was, I kind of liked it. It was fun just flying across the map. It did allow for a bit of cheaty-hax, but it was funny nevertheless.
