Left 4 Dead Steam Pre-Purchases Now Available

Valve have announced that Left 4 Dead is now available for pre-purchase on Steam, and offering a 10% discount in the process. Normally this sort of announcement would barely rate a mention, but this is actually a super-cool game and you're almost certainly going to want to check it out when it's released - zombie-battling co-op play is a pretty big draw card.

Man the shitty aus dollar at the moment makes steam less good. Probably still cheaper and easier than retail.

HAH. That'll learn all the gaming companies out there that didn't bother with CO-OP thinking it was too risky or not wanted.

A large chunk of that Tasty pie is going to Valve and the makers of this game.

Hopefully this will spur more purpose built CO-OP games to be released.

man its gonna be awesome - zombies, online 4 player coop & you can play a Zombie Boss!!! cost me $69 bucks but me wanty baaad so I preordered even though now i gotta wait a month...

I'm preinstalling now.

It's gonna be awesome, same dudes from TF2 doing L4D. Now it's complete, they're working on next TF2 update. (so I was reading)

i was kinda hoping it would be around the same price as tf2, maybe $10-$15 more. i will probably end up getting it though. i also just read that the demo will be released early november.

I really really want to get this, but as mentioned above, the Aussie exchange rate makes this really frustrating. Given the amount of fluctuation in the Aussie dollar at the moment, I'll wait for a couple weeks and see what happens.
