A new version of America's Army has been released, bringing the US Army's free FPS to version 2.8.4.
This release contains the Every Soldier a Sensor (ES2) training mission and a new multiplayer co-operative mission. We've also improved the performance of our AI to react in a more realistic manner. Included in the version, is the all new Deploy Client; a revolutionary way for you to get the game and keep you up to date on all the latest happenings inside the America's Army community.
The Deploy Client is an attempt to simplify the download process - often problematic for many users because of its huge size. However, it poses a few problems - if you're interested in some of them, have a read of this mini-review of the Deploy Client.

If you just want to download it though and get into the game, grab the Deploy Client locally from AusGamers and start the download process.

Update: We've heard back and there will not be a standalone installer available.

So the full download isn't available anymore or will it still be hosted? :)

Did you not read the review?!@#?!@

Basically I've asked if we can host the full version as a standalone download. They're pretty good about responding so I expect we'll find out one way or another pretty quickly (except of course we're heading into the weekend).

I wonder if the game engine is still so prone to exploits. I used to really enjoy the game except for the never ending amount of cheats the stuffed it for everyone else.

Putting it at the last line...that's the worst possible place. Should have been the first line :) I read up until "The Deploy Client pretty much stops this from being an issue.".
