From the "haha you can't have it yet" files comes another new announcement from Haromix: Rock Band 2 Merch. The rhythm game developer has opened an online store at www.rockband.com, where you can order various gear branded with the images of your custom-created in-game band, including 6" 3D figurines of the band characters themselves. This concept isn't entirely new; 3rd party company FigurePrints has offered a similar service for World of Warcraft players, but this appears to be the first time a developer has taken the task on themselves.

Whether this service will ever become available to games on this side of the Pacific is anyones guess, though don't hold your breath. We're still waiting on the first Rock Band after all, finally due November 11 2008 in Australia - a tardy 12 months after it's US debut.
