I'd like to see the ability to login with your AGN account and browse/reply to the forums. The current mobile version and normal site via a mobile device make it difficult to use the forums effectively.

Bout 120$ for an individual license, bout 450$ for a enterprise license (can release apps without using appstore). Also free to develop, but need the license to test on the phone/upload to appstore. It does take a little while for apple to approve/dismiss, main thing is to follow their terms of use and HCI guidelines to a tee.

That reminds me, I've been meaning to practice my middleware by writing a web app to parse the QGL forum and serve up the content in a mobile-friendly format.
Would doing something like this earn me permaban for my trouble?

The whole Cocoa thing is just madly unintuitive to windows/VS coders. I gave up for now.

Here's my 1.1 (quick wins)
- on reviews list, get rid of the reviewer and date/time, add the final rating
- on videos list, show video thumbnails and the game's platform(s) and genre
- on a review, have a screenshot at the top. also is it possible to have a scroll to top like MobileSafari? it's just that there's a jump to bottom, but when you do that you're stuck there.
- remove news, or make it less frustrating by having it obvious what's from Today, Yesterday... then by date.
and 2.0 :P
- nav down the bottom: News, Features, Videos, Forums. (standard buttons like the iPod or Facebook apps). the Features section is ausgamers content that isn't really news, like previews and reviews (so these taken out of the news list)
- it keeps your place when you relaunch the app
- expanded info in the reviews list (a summary sentence, the genre, platforms, final score)
- badges on the nav for how many are new since last visit; and how many unread in the case of threads
My guess is this is a practice app, and the focus will be on a GameArena app. But yeah, thanks for this! The videos are awesome.

if you're allowed to (NDA NDA NDA), do you get updates from apple on downloads etc.. demographics etc... (annnd.. would there ever be any need to influence the search stuffs.. cause lets face it, its hard to get on that front page)
and why no GA lurve? are telstra making their own portal for stuffs?

Second, nice and clean, BUT I'm not sure how much advantage there is of using this app instead of just going to the mobile site through Safari. I find it annoying when you have apps that show you web content but with less convenience than Safari. Having said that, I'm not a gamer anymore and I don't really care about the content, so I guess you'd need to know from people who actually care about the content to see if they are willing to open a stand alone app instead of using Safari!
