New Xbox Experience This November?

Gamesindustry.biz is reporting a Rock Band 2 advertisement on Xbox Live may have given away the crucial release period for Microsoft's much touted Xbox 360/Live Dashboard update, revealed at this year's E3.

According to the report, the ad says "Coming in November, playing Rock Band 2 and meeting up with your band mates on your Xbox 360 will be better than ever thanks to the New Xbox Experience". Obviously having only just announced the first Rock Band for release here in Australia the RB2 portion is irrelevant to us, but it's likely a worldwide release for the update will be simultaneous.

We're booked in to have a closer look at "The New Xbox Experience" at this year's Tokyo Game Show, so stay tuned for more details.

the update is actually next week, they are shutting down Xbox Live for 24 hours on Monday 29th to set it up for the release

i dont think the actual update is coming out monday 29th though, thats just maintenance to prepare for the update in the future.

i don't know why, i just really don't like it.. actually i do know why, it's just hard to explain.

i wish it was optional... like we got the improved functionality, but didn't have to take the new look with it. it's dreadful.
