Ubisoft have let us know the official release date of their free-roaming open-world FPS, FarCry 2. The game will hit retail across the country October 23rd for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms. It was also announced there would be a Collector's Edition with the following features:
  • Exclusive wooden box
  • Original Far Cry® 2 Game
  • Limited edition Far Cry® 2 t-shirt
  • "The Art of Far Cry® 2" Art book
  • Making-of DVD

The trailers look pretty spectacular, and there's lots of new innovations in this game too.

It'll be a groundbreaking FPS no doubt.
