Even though it's where it all began, most of us discount the aracde platform's relevance in today's gaming scene. That may well be true for most genres, but fighting games still get a fair bit of action from the coin-op crowd and in the case of Capcom's hotly anticipated Street Fighter IV - even though most eyes are on the early 2009 Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release - it's already playable in the arcade.

The best part is, you won't have to fly to Tokyo or New York to get in on the action as there's already reports of Street Fighter IV machines appearing in Aussie arcades.

Arcade fighter site eventhubs.com is maintaining a list of SF4 arcade machine locations as they
are reported across the globe which currently includes the Crown Casino and Box Hill Timeout in
Melbourne and Replay in Brisbane. Has anyone had any hands-on time with these yet?

Oh awesome. This must be the first non music or redemption game Replay's had in a bloody long time :D

Think it's time for a trip into town!

I've played it a few times at Replay, the graphical style is win!

It's hard to get a decent game though, all the leet Tekken 5 players have moved over and they just rape your $2 in 30 seconds.
