Microsoft Australia have today given us a heads up for the release of the Xbox Live Arcade Fable II extension, Pub Games, where leading up to the game's October release, eager players will be able to accumulate gold in a series of mini games. This gold can then be transferred to the retail copy of Fable II once it's released to use as in-game currency.
The Fable II pub games are available through a complementary download over Xbox LIVE to anyone who pre-orders a copy of Fable II at participating retailers. The games are also available for downloaded without the pre-order for 800 Microsoft points.
The high-stakes casino-style Pub Games (available as one download) are:
  • Keystone: A combination of Craps and Roulette
  • Spinnerbox: An updated take on slot machines
  • Fortune's Tower: A "press your luck" style of game
The Collector's Edition of Fable II was also revealed, with special contents such as a Bonus DVD, Bonus In-Game Content, a Collectible Figure and Five Printed Collector's Cards.

You'll have to check your local games retailer to see if they'll be part of the pre-order deal, but you can expect all the major games stores to participate.

Fable II hits Aussie store shelves on October 23, where the newly announced Collector's Edition will set you back an SRP of AU$119.95, according to Microsoft Australia. You can check out more from the game on our Fable II game page.
