Eidos have jumped on the recent Batman Success Bandwagon, announcing Batman: Arkham Asylum, a gritty all-new Batman adventure written and developed as a stand-alone game from Batman: The Animated Series writer, Paul Dini.
The announcement came by way of GameInformer magazine where they describe the title as a "dark and gritty setting reminiscent of BioShock", where Batman will come face to face with the worst of the worst of the Batman universe.
Developed by Rocksteady Studios (Urban Chaos: Riot Response) and utlising the Unreal Game Engine, Batman: Arkham Asylum is said to be an over-the-shoulder action title with
detective elements and will be a "true-to-Batman" title.
If they can keep it dark and mature and follow through with their "reminiscent of BioShock" statement, this could be a Batman game worth your excitement. We'll give you more as it becomes available.
