Volition have released 5 new videos from Red Faction: Guerrilla, the next addition to their terrain-deforming shooter series, expected in 2009 on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Red Faction: Guerrilla is a 3rd person, open-world action shooter set on Mars, 50 years after the events of the original Red Faction. Players will take the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly re-established Red Faction movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force.
The latest clips can be found via our Red Faction: Guerrilla game page and show off action from the game's Xbox 360 multiplayer beta, which if you act quick, you can still get in on over on Fileplanet.

I hope this lets you destroy buildings from the inside out.

Pretty sure it does. Saw this at E3 and it looks pretty cool, the destructable environments are pretty crazy.

as long as it's not as retarded as the last red faction where you could blow away the wall around the door, but not the door itself.

What about it looked cool?
The big feature of red faction is the destructible shit, this showed barely any of that, i wanted to see a building falling down on a group of people or something, that just looked like standard dm. You'd think when they were making these vids they would have said "ok you guys fight in this shot up building, i'll fire a rocket into its last support and youll all die really violently", then filmed it.

Kind of makes you wonder if the destructible shit will feature much at all in multiplayer.

I saw some destruction going on in there. Maybe it was more highlighted for me because I watched the destruction demo first. Granted there wasn't a huge amount of filmed destruction but you could tell by the state of some of the buildings that they had really torn some of them apart.

i got into the mp beta, it's ok but there's not as much destruction as the original. plus you can rebuild stuff that has been destructed around capture points.

Red Faction 1 rocked MP wise, only a handful of players though.

Would be interested to check out the new game.

I think you have that backwards, the lack of destruction was highlighted for me because i had seen the previous videos where they showed buildings falling down, this had a few holes blown in walls and ceilings.
