2K Games have today sent through word the official soundtrack for their forthcoming 2K Sports title, Don King Presents: Prizefighter has been revealed. As mentioned in our preview of the game posted yesterday, Prizefighter is the first ever videogame to present its narrative as a fictional documentary surrounding you, the main character (something we coined a "gameumentary").
According to 2K, accompanying this unique story-telling style will be legendary bass player Bootsy Collins who has provided original music for the Prizefighter theme. "As an avid boxing fan myself, it's been a great pleasure having the opportunity to work on the theme song and be a part of Don King Presents: Prizefighter," said Bootsy Collins. "With different out-of-the-ring situations, documentary and exclusive interview footage, boxing fans are going to get funked up and totally involved with a funky sensation of being in the ring to feel the full boxing experience. Not only that, the music will rock you, knock you, and pounce on your ear hole. Watch out now, or you may get a standing 8 count! Bootsy Collins here, and in yo ear hole baba!!!”More names are mentioned in the above linked press release, otherwise you can check out the full soundtrack by clicking here. Be sure to have a look at the game's stunning visuals in our screenshots gallery on the AusGamers Prizefighter game page.
