A new patch for the PC version of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has landed. Here's the fix list, adding a few new features (like speech recognition) and fixing a few bugs. Download it locally from AusGamers.
Sadly, in what is becoming a fairly typical trend for PC games bearing the Tom Clancy brand, it doesn't offer any improvements to the dedicated server side of things - there's still no standalone dedicated server package for Vegas 2. We just fired up the game here in the office to check out the Australian server scene - and couldn't find any at all (although the in-game server browser is pretty woeful, so maybe they're just not obvious). Something to bear in mind if you want to play this game multiplayer - which is a shame, because it looks so sweet. Comments:imo this game was a combination of poo, bums, and wee put in a blender and burnt to a dvd.
I played a bit of this at a LAN last weekend after drinking half a bottle of wild turkey, from what I remember it was pretty fun. Don't think I could be assed playing through the single player campaign though.

Was pretty fun for a while especially just playing with another person doing the terrorist hunts on super hard mode. No real lasting appeal though.
