We're not so high and mighty here at AusGamers we presume to be all alone in the great virtual unknown that is the interwebs, and it's especially endearing to us to be able to point out when other Aussies online can mix it up with the best of them.

IGN AU is the source of this discussion and an amusing article they've strung together on the ever-expanding addiction to World of WarCrack. There have been plenty of articles like this since the game's release, but this one is pretty clever, and I happen to know the sources used are actual people and not made up.

So hit this link or the screen to the right for an amusing Australian account of what could happen to you should you choose to experiment with online gaming as addicting as World of WarCraft.

I dunno if theres really much to consider, it sounds like its written as a bit of an overly melodramatic parody of all the "Video games are destroying our youth" shit you see in the media all the time. It was an entertaining read :)

Did anyone really take that article seriously?

Nice little mockumentary style article there. I would suspect WoW players would get the biggest laughs.
