Vivendi Games and Sierra Entertainment are continuing their viral bombardment of Prototype propaganda by today announcing the relaunch of the game's official site. Far from being 'just another official game site' though, the publisher is giving gamers a unique, interactive way to discover hidden screens and information by unlocking certain codes found throughout the site.
PROTOTYPE is shrouded in a deep, dark conspiracy 40 years in the making, and the Helix offers intrepid – and persistent – gamers the potential to unravel pieces of the game’s back-story known as the ‘Web of Intrigue’ via discovering codes hidden throughout a complex maze of media. By entering the correct code sequences, PROTOTYPE fans can immediately unlock and access exclusive new assets, including fresh screenshots, videos and other mysterious images; and as the Helix evolves, new code sequences will become active. Code sequences will be concealed within print, online and broadcast/television preview
features, along with a myriad of other mediums through the end of the year.
Before you stress about the last part of that paragraph making it difficult if said features are in overseas magazines, the site is completely localised meaning the codes and interaction should be to. You can check out video and screens for this intriguing sandbox game by clicking the respective media links.
