Microsoft have announced BioWare Corp plan to launch all-new downloadable content for their smash hit, Mass Effect (see our review here) from March 10 on the Xbox Live Marketplace. For only M$400 points, the new DLC (entitled "Bring Down The Sky") will deliver a brand new, unchartered world as well as a new alien race to the Mass Effect universe.
"Bring Down the Sky" includes a new uncharted world that introduces the notorious and feared alien race of the Batarians. A Batarian extremist group has hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Only Commander Shepard can save the millions of innocent civilians before the asteroid completes its deadly descent.
According to Microsoft, this is but the first in a number of planned DLC releases for the game in its gradual build-up to the launch of the rest of the trilogy.
