Not content with owning every corner of the sandbox genre as it is, 2K Games today announced they'd be having another crack at the mobster corner with Mafia 2. The first Mafia game was a massive hit and with the success and release of such games as Gangs of London, Scarface: The World is Not Enough and The Godfather, it only seems fitting 2K would trounce back in and reclaim their crown.
2K Games today announced that it will publish Mafia 2, a sequel to the original Mafia title that sold more than two million copies worldwide and helped popularize the gangster genre. Featuring a deep mobster-driven narrative packed with both behind-the-wheel and on-foot action, Mafia 2 is the sequel fans have been clamoring for. The game is being developed by Illusion Softworks, developers of the original Mafia title, for next generation consoles and Games for Windows.Good news for those of you out there looking to immerse yourself in a world without an e-penis where you actually had to have real balls to be a big man given your most precious piece of technology was a Tommy Gun, as opposed to the internet.
