The Tony Hawk series has ruled the skating game roost long enough. Now, EA have thrown down the gauntlet to the Birdman's long-running franchise with Skate. I got to go hands-on with the game at this year's E3 so click here for my full impressions to see if the bold new control-style Skate offers could be enough to derail Hawk from his perch.

Pretty much, actually. The video editor for Skate is pretty good as well (compared to the new Hawk, which I'll have a preview up for by tomorrow), but yeah, both games are going to spawn a whole new wave of video content, which is only a good thing IMO
