Rockstar have announced a new free game:
We proudly bring you this second installment in our series of complimentary full PC game downloads. Another vintage title from Rockstar North, then known as DMA Design, Wild Metal (1999) is a 3D strategic vehicular combat game set in a distant land, in which you command armed roving vehicles to disrupt dangerous automated military units that have overtaken the Tehric planetary system. While it flew under the mainstream radar when it was originally released, it was critically acclaimed for its unique yet intuitive control schemes and its massive open world to explore.
Well, there's something to do tonite while waiting to finally catch Santa on the job :) (promoted/edited forum post)

It doesn't work for me :(

I extract it and all that then click setup and nothing, nothing at all. Tried compatibility modes and there's nothing in task manager.

They can't mirror it without Rockstars permission by the looks of it(Read: Rockstar wants your Email address).
I dislike the setup on this, it doesn't allow for resuming downloads, for a guy on Dial-Up thats a death knell. I'll probably get it off a mate at some stage in the future.
Besides its not like I like Rockstar, most of their recent games, with the exception of GTA, have been mediocre(Max Payne 2, Manhunt, Midnight Club 2).
