Need for Speed: Hot pursuit 2 Demo released

There has been a new demo for the upcoming Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 just been released offering a taste of the game:

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 stays true to the heritage of housing a stable of over 20 exclusive and exotic cars from the world's most coveted licensors including Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini... to name a few.

Drafting on its award-winning legacy, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 will deliver an exciting, intense arcade driving experience. The game includes a variety of open road environments that truly come to life, consisting of river crossings, waterfalls, beaches, volcanoes and brush fires.

There will also be an Australian specific version of this demo released later today, which of course we'll have a copy of as soon as we can, for now, check out the US demo here

I got to play it, updated my drivers to the unofficial 6193 instead of 6178... It fixed even more compatibility issues, w00t

The handling of the cars, is like driving my Dad's Ford Falcon Forte... What a joke. Those aren't super cars, that's how a Commadore handles. Graphics are fine, I'm upset that it's still looking so cartoony, Gran Turismo 3 looks an insanely lot better. As for the helicopter dropping those tubs of toxic waste, err, like, fuck that. Porsche was a shit load better than this, and I didn't even like Porsche.
It obviously has a lot of potential, but I doubt they'll change much before final retail release.

Maybe it's just my keyboard that makes em handle like a boat, unresponsive piece of shit. Anyone with a wheel care to give us a detailed insight into the handling?

agree about the handling... NFS Porshe Unleashed was better... you could tweak the suspension/performance/tyres etc, dosent look like they have that option now.

graphics are good... but the explosives dropping chopper is a bit arcade like.

Khel, I loved NFS3, in fact, I still play it on my Playstation... After playing this for a while I've realised how insanely fun it is, I still think the chopper dropping those barrels is gay though. Give us real road blocks. :(
