We got our fellow survivor Chad Drake to grab a cricket bat and head out into the wastelands of London amidst the zombie apocalypse and check out just what ZombiU has in store for us.
Whilst not being one of the coveted Ninty iconic characters in a launch title that fanboys are hungry for, it looks like this will satiate the hordes with its gritty realism (as much as it possibly can be in a title about fictional zombies), tense environments and an immersive control set-up thanks to Wii U’s GamePad. So, as it turns out Zombie U is more than just a blunt tool with which to bludgeon the heads of your zombified friends -- it’s to a wannabe zombie survivalist what a flight simulator is to a pilot in training.Click here for our in-depth review.

Players looking out for the title will find that the multiplayer features a two player mode, called 'Survivor vs Zombies' and will see one person controlling the survivor via a controller, and the other player taking on the role of "King of the Zombies" with the tablet controller. The basics seem to be that the survivor will obviously try to survive the zombie hoard heading their way while capturing four flags along the way. The role of the zombie lord on the other hand is to inhibit the survivor with their zombie minions, using the tablet as a top down view of the map and being able to place AI around the field.
There are certain restrictions for the player using the tablet, such as not being able to spawn zombies directly near the survivor, making the use of strategy more important. The survivor on the other hand is able to beat back zombies, equip multiple firearms and also deploy automatic turrets.
