Runic Games have announced that their budget-priced dungeon crawler will be making it's way to consoles shortly, with an Xbox 360 version due on the Xbox Live Arcade platform.

A FAQ over on the official site explains that the console port will include a complete GUI overhaul, a tailored control screen with no "virtual cursor" as well as some improvements taken from the in-progress Torchlight 2 code-base that will improve the automap and speed up load times.

Unfortunately, they also confirm that there are no current plans for a PlayStation Network version.

Torchlight for Xbox 360 is due in Autumn 2011 (U.S. Spring). Stop by our game page for several Xbox 360 screenshots.

Celebrating one year since the release of their acclaimed little dungeon crawler, indie developer Runic Games are running a 50% sale for Torchlight, offering the PC game for US$10 until 8am October 29th PST (2am Saturday, Oct 30th, ADST).
Because you love playing Torchlight and encouraged your friends to check it out, we are able to be here a year later, making Torchlight II. Our simple principle of making the type of game we want to play and doing so as efficiently as possible resonated with you. We’ve loved seeing your screenshots and hearing about your fire-ball casting pet cats. We were just as excited as you, when you unlocked the Horse level and found the Sword of Adam. We have a great team that cares about the work we do, we have great distribution partners, and most importantly we have an awesome community. Thank you for supporting us! We can’t wait to share everything that’s next with you all.
The sale is currently only available for purcahses directly from Torchlightgame.com.

The sequel, Torchlight 2 is due for release in "early 2011" and promises and all new adventure with the much-requested multiplayer support and more modding capabilities.

Hot on the heels of that new Diablo 3 media, Runic Games have released the very first trailer for their little dungeon crawler, the hotly anticipated Torchlight 2.
The most exciting new feature of Torchlight II is the multiplayer element. Play with your friends, and use the free peer-to-peer matchmaking service to meet new players of a similar level and interest. Together players will discover expansive randomized outdoor areas and deep ominous caverns; random instanced and persistent dungeons, a huge variety of all new monsters and villains, endless variations of loot to find, and quests to complete. Players journey through the perilous Overworld, enjoying all new weather features, time of day events, and a rich and cunning story to drive gameplay.
