Valve have just sent word that not only will Supreme Commander 2 be using the Steamworks interface and all the achievements, auto-updates and friend list fun that goes with it, but that a playable demo of the game's singleplayer campaign is now available for download.
The demo weighs in at around 1.6 GB and offers a detailed tutorial and an early section of the game's solo campaign. Square Enix, who're no publishing Supreme Commander 2, have given us a solid release date for the highly anticipated RTS today, revealing Aussie store-shelves would be packed full of SC2 boxes on March 4 for PC, and March 18 for Xbox 360.
"The partnership with Square Enix has been a highlight of my career," said Chris Taylor, Founder and Creative Director of Gas Powered Games.
