IGN has an exclusive (bleh) look at the first DLC (downloadable content) for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, which much like the DLC for TFU1, offers a glimpse at the "infinite universe" where the devs get to play with "what if" scenarios, such as Starkiller as a fully-fledged Sith attacking the Rebel base on Hoth (from the first game).

In this newest DLC though, you'll be on the forest moon of Endor, seemingly acting out the Empire's attack on the Rebels there, and their furry little friends, the Ewoks. Apparently there's an Achievement called "Sith Kicker" which I'm going to asume means we can kick Ewoks, which is pretty awesome.

Unfortunately it looks like this DLC will be the same length as the previously released add-ons, which in my opinion, were over far too quickly. Once IGN's exclusivity with the reveal has ended, we'll post up any and all available media right here on AusGamers, so stay tuned.

The force, as it were, is not strong with this one. Kosta Andreadis, our resident Qui Gon Jinn, pricked the arm of LucasArts' Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 and found its midichlorian count to be much lower than most anticipated, meaning, it is most definitely not of natural conception nor a chosen one.

That isn't to say there's nothing here to enjoy, because there is, it's just that the game's Jedi training, like Luke Skywalker's, was seemingly cut short, leaving it half the jedi it could have been (Luke was the chosen one though, so he can leave his training early).

In all honesty, old George needs to hang up his saggy neck sack and give the series over to the likes of these guys, who obviously know how to create a proper sense of Star Wars drama between out-of-control apprentice and Sith lord.

Today we have two new Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II trailers for you, both CG, and both very short (as they're TV spots), but both absolutely epic in every conceivable Star Wars fanboy way. I won't spoil anything that happens here for you, just watch. They're really short, but oh so worth it.Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is due to arrive on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS October 29.

LucasArts have revealed the date they'll be dropping the previously announced demo for their forthcoming Episode III and IV bridge, The Force Unleashed II.

The demo will be landing on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network this October 12, ahead of the game's end-of-month release, but there's no info on whether it would be hitting Steam for the PC crowd at all.

The game is due to release on a host of platforms, PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS this October 29 and continues the saga of the much loved apprentice, Starkiller. Check out our last interview with LucasArts' Brett Rector for more on the game.

Long-time LucasArts fans, or fans of Monkey Island and Star Wars, can finally live out their twisted fantasies of combining both franchises, as LucasArts have revealed you'll be able to play as the hapless pirate in their forthcoming sequel, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.

We also have two very cool images showing off what he's going to look like rendered in 3D in a powerful game engine, which now has me wondering if maybe Guybrush could properly make the leap from 2D to 3D. Click on the images below for larger versions.

Earlier this week AusGamers caught up with some fine LucasArts folks who trekked out to Australia to give us a deeper look at Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. We managed to pull producer, Brett Rector, aside for a bit to chat to him about the game's development, and spoke in-depth about the story and crafting a character like Starkiller to carry such a narrative burden as to stand as the bridge between Episodes III and IV.

As usual, we've compiled the full interview into a handy feature for you, with an embedded video (replete with 720p download link) and a full transcript for those of you who are bandwidth weary, can't watch or don't like my haircut.

Prior to E3, AusGamers had a sneaky first look at Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II out at LucasArts in San Francisco, and also had the chance to chat with the game's senior producer, Julio Torres.

As both big Star Wars fans and and fans of the original game, we had plenty to ask, and with a few tantalising trailers doing the rounds prior to, and during, E3, many people are wondering if LucasArts can fully capitalise on the strength of the excellent narrative they have with this franchise. The interview was lengthy, so we've decided to split it into two parts, beginning today with Part One, and ending on Monday with Part Two.
