SEGA have maintained the PC tradition of free post-release content for games, offering new DLC for Napoleon: Total War, free of charge, available now from Steam.
The DLC, called the Imperial Guard Pack, will feature the option to play through the Waterloo campaign from an entirely new perspective on the side of the British, and will also introduce six new unit types - Polish Guard Lancers, Dutch Guard Lancers, Guard Chasseurs a Cheval, Dutch Grenadiers, Guard Seamen and the Empress Dragoons. AusGamers reviewed Napoleon: Total War and scored the game 8.5/10. Tuesday, 23 February 2010

AusGamers' own Kosta Andreadis has been living it up in the European countryside; donning white tights and yelling at people inappropriately in French.
When we asked him to review Napoleon: Total War, we had no idea he'd take the gig so seriously, but French excusing aside, his serious undertaking of review duties has also lead to nice and deep run-down of just what to expect from this latest Creative Assembly opus, which should sate fans and invite history buffs and newcomers alike. AusGamers was lucky enough to check out a recent preview session for The Creative Assembly's forthcoming Total War update, Napoleon: Total War, and walked away verily excited at what we saw.
While Stormrise might be best forgotten, there's no denying these guys know this franchise better than their own hands, and the improvements over Empire: Total War are an excellent example of that. It's by no means a massive revolution over the aforementioned game, but we argue it's looking better anyway. Click here for our in-depth preview. |
