Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has today announced that the second downloadable character, Batgirl, is now available for Injustice: Gods Among Us. As with Lobo's arrival, Batgirl has brought with her two new skin packs including the Killing Joke skin pack which features Joker dressed in his tropical vacation garb which was the outfit worn in the graphic novel.

Joining the Killing Joke skin pack is the Red Son pack, which will feature skins from Superman’s popular Soviet alternate reality. Each pack is available on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 240 Microsoft Points and coming soon on the PlayStation Network.

Batgirl will be available beginning today on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 400 MS Microsoft Points. The content will be available soon on PlayStation Network at a price of AUD$7.35. Those in need of a history lesson on Batgirl's origin can check out the video below.

NetherRealm Studios has revealed the first in-game footage of Batgirl, Injustice: Gods Among Us' next DLC character to join the DC Comics roster. The trailer reveals this Batgirl to be Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Commissioner Gordon who was paralyzed by Joker in the original DC Comics 'The Killing Joke' graphic novel.

Utilising the training from Batman and Robin, Batgirl shows off her moves against an aptly themed Joker dressed in his tropical vacation garb which was the outfit worn in the graphic novel. No date was sadly given on when Batgirl will be available but a price of 400 Microsoft Points and $7.35 for the PSN was offered. Presumably the Killing Joke costume pack will also be released alongside Batgirl, as was the case with the launch of Lobo.

For those wondering when the Wii U copy of Injustice: Gods Among Us would be gaining all these DLC packs, fear not as NetherRealm revealed through the game's official Twitter that we can expect "DLC for the Wii U version of Injustice: Gods Among Us to be available this summer. Stay tuned for more details."

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have today announced the Australian launch of their latest DC-infused fighting title Injustice: Gods Among Us. Developed by NetherRealm studios, the title sees various DC Comic heroes and villaisn fighting it out in a large range of arenas including Arkham Asylum, Metropolis, Atlantis, and more.
Injustice: Gods Among Us features numerous locales pulled from DC Comics lore including Arkham Asylum, Metropolis, Atlantis, and more. The arenas are multi-tiered, destructible, interactive playgrounds in which players can unleash each character’s unique super powers, individual move-sets and environmental interactions to beat their opponents. Fans can also extend their experience by playing the S.T.A.R. Labs missions, which offer players a wealth of additional content and unique gameplay that are outside of the game’s story mode experience.

Bringing these characters to life is a cast of actors, including Stephen Amell, star of the Nine Network’s upcoming new action show, Arrow, who reprises his role as the Green Arrow in the game as an unlockable “Arrow” version of the character, which players can choose to use in-game. Also featured are Kevin Conroy, as Batman; Tara Strong, as Harley Quinn and Raven; Neal McDonough as The Flash; George Newbern as Superman; Adam Baldwin as Green Lantern; and Alan Tudyk as Green Arrow (regular version).
Oddly enough the launch only coincides with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, with the Wii U having been delayed by a week to April 24 for unknown reasons. Check out the launch trailer below for a glimpse at what to expect.

It seems Warner hadn't quite finished their trickling character reveals for the upcoming DC Comics fighting game, as a leaked image of what convincingly appears to be the character select screen for Injustice: Gods Among us shows supervillians Ares, and Killer Frost among the 22 already revealed tight-wearers (thanks Polygon).

Both new additions had already been presumed when their costumes appeared among an assortment of new Xbox Live avatar apparel last week. Four additional unannounced characters are expected to follow the game's launch as downloadable content.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is due on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U on April 17 2013.

A recent listing by Germany's Amazon page (thanks VG247) has revealed what seems to be the first downloadable content pack for yet-to-be-released fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. Featuring various DC Comic superheroes and villains, the new DLC pack titled 'Blackest Night' will offer various zombie skins to all characters including zombie Batman.

A trailer has also been revealed for the DLC pack which teases the skins in action, but also mentions a "zombie mode" which presumably turns everyone into the walking dead. Considering villains like Joker and Lex Luthor are already bad enough, zombie versions could only spell disaster.

Currently it isn't known whether the DLC will be Amazon exclusive or be opened up to other retailers. Until then, check out the trailer to see the skins in action and we'll keep you updated with more news as it comes.
