A new trailer for the upcoming Company of Heroes 2, the Relic Entertainment RTS that survived the move from THQ to SEGA, has found its way online. The latest vid is in the form of what appears to be an in-engine cinematic, presumably showing cut-scene footage that sets the scene for the various grim scenarios of the World War II Ostfront that will be played out in the game.
In the world’s darkest hour you are a commander of the Soviet Red Army, entrenched in brutal frontline warfare to free Mother Russia from the Nazi invaders. Relic Entertainment and SEGA have outlined a new feature set to launch with their hotly anticipated strategy title Company of Heroes 2, a skirmish scenario component titled Theatre of War Mode that will be playable both solo, and in cooperative multiplayer.
Theatre of War allows Relic Entertainment to tell different stories from the conflict in the form of new playable single player and co-operative content. The mode includes solo challenges where players are pitted against overwhelming odds, AI battles against an enemy commander with a unique play style and co-operative scenarios for fans to enjoy with their friends.A new bundle of screenshots from the Theatre of War mode can be viewed here on AusGamers. In probably one of the more simpler ways to gaining a beta code, Relic Entertainment is offering those who "like" their Facebook page a closed beta code for their upcoming real-time strategy title Company of Heroes 2 (thanks CTD). Simply like the page, grab a beta key and chuck it into Steam to begin downloading the closed beta and you'll be commanding your troops in no time.

Sega has today revealed that the upcoming strategy game Company of Heroes by newly acquired Relic Entertainment will be making its way to Australian shores on June 25th. The title was previously under-development by now defunct THQ and slated for an earlier 2013 release however has now been pushed back to late June with additional time going towards polishing up the title.
Jonathan Dowdeswell, Executive Producer of Company of Heroes 2 has said that the "acquisition by SEGA has given us the chance to work with a new partner that has a great track record of working with long standing PC franchises, It gives us great confidence to know that we have a well aligned team working to bring the best experience we can to gamers around the world." Dowdeswell also revealed that an upcoming Closed Beta will be made available soon, stating that "players will soon be able to help us test and balance multiplayer." We saw a few glimpses of Company of Heroes 2's user interface in the last dev diary trailer, and now you can find out all about it, as developer Relic has described their UI intentions in a detailed new post over on the game's official site.
Designed to give the player a full view of the battlefield and quick unit control, all the information you need to command your army is presented in a clean, concise and straightforward manner, with many improvements being made over the original design from CoH1.A new screenshot provides a hi-res look at the layout. THQ has today revealed a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming competitive RTS Company of Heroes 2, this time showcasing the multiplayer experience that players can expect. The new title will be introducing new maps, features, and game modes to the already well-known Company of Heroes online experience.

THQ has sent along another new video promoting the upcoming Company of Heroes 2, this time a dev diary style clip titled "Preparing for War" that features commentary from the game's developers at Relic Entertainment.
The video offers a closer look at several key features, such as TrueSight the line-of-sight system that controls the game's dynamic fog of war, and Cold Tech, a collection of environment mechanics that includes deep snow, frozen waterways, and extreme cold that affect different units in different ways. We also get a good look a the new infantry vaulting ability, which means no more walking the long way around fences and sandbags, and a couple of quick peeks at the game's UI HUD, which we've screen-grabbed below for closer inspection. As promised, THQ has released the first full gameplay trailer for Company of Heroes 2, the upcoming RTS sequel from Relic Entertainment (thanks Mordecai). The clip offers a good look at the game's attention to detail, and previous some of the gameplay-affecting terrain deformation techniques.
Relic Entertainment and THQ take you to the Eastern Front to experience the brutal cold of war. Promoted by THQ as "the trailer you've all been waiting for", this Company of Heroes 2 teaser is actually more like the trailer about the trailer, as the 23 second clip serves up the first very brief glimpses of the upcoming strategy game in action.

In the lead up to one of the most anticipated PC strategy game releases, THQ has revealed the collector's edition and pre-order incentives for Company of Heroes 2.
Anyone who pre-orders the game at participating retailers will score two vehicle skins for both the German Rotbraun and Soviet Leningrad, while Steam pre-orderers will be "enrolled" in the Steam Pre-Purchase Tiered Program, which offers unlocks for the likes of Team Fortress 2 and Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II. On the flip-side, if you pre-order from Origin you'll have access to all the global pre-order bonuses, plus an exclusive "Soviet Bryansk Front vehicle skin to convert their heavy vehicles". Pre-ordering on THQ's shopTHQ will also give you all the global pre-order bonuses as well as a "Command Pass" which rewards players with bonus multiplayer maps and other member's only events. The Command Pass will also be available as its own purchasable addition to the game. On the collector's edition front: As well as Standard Edition of the game, a Digital Collector’s Edition is also available. Included in this edition is access to the first three single player “Content Packs” when they become available as well as the Command Pass, exclusive heavy German Whitewash and Soviet Winter Cobblestone tank skins and a Veteran badge to display on the player’s in-game profile. Additionally, players will receive the award-winning original Company of Heroes base game with both its expansion packs.Company of Heroes 2 is due to release exclusively on PC in the early part of 2013.
