Saw this on OCAU and laughed my arse off... so true lol
That's my Friday summed up perfectly.
its a re-make of the original which was "Enginering in College" vs. "Engineering in a real job"
Second cube looks too clean.
In the real world:
- The boss will want the color on the far bottom right to be a more orange color, except when Fran in accounts sees it, in which case it should be a whitish/gray color.
- The cube will have a missing corner piece or two at the top, that'll be delivered in phase 2 if the stakeholders can come to agreement on whether they want that corner piece to retain a cube like shape, or have that part of it spherical.
- There won't be enough budget for the same kind of paint, so some of the cube will be painted in oil based paints and the rest in water based paints. Oh, and both sets of paintbrushes will need to be cleaned up in water because there's not enough budget for turpentine.
- Everybody wants a time estimate on when the painting will be finished, but nobody wants to do the hard work in requirements gathering in order to figure out whether the cube faces will still turn after the paint is causing the pieces to stuck together, or whether we'll need to paint only one cube or the whole shelf full of cubes, or whether the cube is going to be repainted in 12 months so it's not worth spending time in painting it too carefully...
Second cube looks too clean.and after spending months putting together this cube, the client will lose interest because "outsourced company X said dices are almost as good as Rubik cubes and its 1/10th the price."

only to have individual tiles fall off mid twist.
Dont know anything about coding but that tree pic was good.
