Anyone seen this yet?

Alot of thought and coding have gone into it, I was quite impressed

edit by trog so there's some actual useful information in the OP so I don't feel compelled to blow it away

Yep. It may've had me if he counter didn't reset on each refresh. It's a good example of viral social marketing... Coles may take notes.

seems pretty obviously fake - "Gift Card's Remaining"!?! Not that much effort if they can't do basic English!@#. No T&Cs, etc.

Here are some links about similar Coles giftcard scams.

Doesn't clearly state what the scam is, I guess it could be different depending on who is doing it.

Scammers use these tricks to either spread malware, obtain personal identification or earn commissions from marketing companies.

So best case scenario is you're added to a spam list, worst case is that to 'redeem the giftcard' (after using your account for a while to spread the scam) they make you download malware.
