Removing voice dub from movie files

I'm running an avi file through VLC and theres voice dubbed in Polish. He's got a deep voice so I was wondering if I could somehow remove the range of frequencies so it gets rid of his voice. VLC normally has a list of audio tracks but this file only has the 1.

So... apart from downloading a separate file for the english audio track, or even downloading the avi file again from a different source, is there some kind of free software that will let me adjust/remove certain frequencies from avi files?

I dunno, maybe I'm making this too complex...

Way too much effort and you will always either hear something left, or take too much away.
