What I'm waiting for:

-Gonzaga to completely fuck up Schaub, guy needs a beating.
-Court to get a solid win.

This is going to be sick. Lesnar and Cain could possibly make one of the best fights in MMA History, can't wait!

Be interesting to see what Sanchez does. Haven't seen him in the octagon since his beatdown from BJ penn. But when he on form, he fucks shit up. You missed him at 114, going back to WW, was extremely disappointing.
This matchup has potential though, Paulo Thiago always creates strange fights.

I can't handle Chuck getting knocked out again, really brings me down.
Same with Jens Pulver, going from UFC Lightweight champion to this :( I teared up when they interviewed him at WEC 47, he was so broken... such a sad way to go out.

usually would go to the salsbury but the owner is a fucking wanker and would rather 90% of the patrons there watch it on a 40" screen on the wall with no sound, while he watches footy on the big screen by himself.

If I recall correctly Randy was giving Brock a fairly hard time in the clinch/wrestling department. Although cardio-valasquez doesn't have the wrestling pedigree of mr. couture he is a bit bigger. I think if Cain can keep it standing he'll be pretty sweet. Brock on top of you = living death.
P.S. Jens is OK. Since he got KTFO by Joe Lauzon/An IT Network admin, he hasn't been the same. But if you lost to an IT guy... how could you be confident?

it really seems like brock lost his chin/ confidence after he got sick.
Seems to get rocked/ cower from alot of shots in the last 2 fights he had.

Bah is mostly correct. He's fought those with alright striking but not at the level Valesquez brings. He's been able to take it to the ground previously but he had to stand in this match. Right from the get go Lesnar failed to take Cain down with effect.
Velasquez is simply a better striker than Lesnar. Velasquez's wrestling was pretty impressive though!
And fuck dos santos taking it straight off Cain. I really think valesquez can weather the storm that Dos Santos brings to the table. Junior just hasn't been tested. Dos Santos has a good record and great wins tho.
Out of all this don't forget, Brock is still a complete beast though. Cain's standing game is just better and his wrastlin' was good enough to keep the frate trane at bay. He was heaps humble too which makes him hard to dislike.

Shields should of lost imo. If a submission specialist only attempts one submission after being on top of the guy for 5 minutes, he deserves to lose.

Kinda figured Cain would take the belt. The guy has absolutely no holes in his game. I can't see anyone taking the belt off him besides JDS but that's a real long shot. Brock is a hype train and while he has good wrestling ability his standup is attrocious and soon as he fights someone with killer instinct he gets bullied and buckles.
Hope he comes back from the loss though - I heard it will be Mir in a rubber match and TBH I don't wanna see that at all.
I remember awhile back before everyone hated Sonnen he said something about the fighters in the locker room know who the top dogs are in the octagon and not the fans. And said something about Cain being well known by everyone backstage as being the toughest fighter in the UFC and the legit #1 HW. Guess he was right

The shields fight was really interesting tbh... He was using kampmans attempts to choke him as an avenue to control on the ground... Crazy stuff...
Heavyweight stuff.. Wow, brock got beat up, i didn't think it'd go that way to be honest... Wonder who'll they throw at cain next to test him... rematch is inevitable but i think brock needs another fight elsewhere to settle himself...

I guess the hype around Cain is real, I was surprised how easily he got back up. In his first few fights he only had ok stand up and didn't hit very hard for a HW, infact when he fought Kongo he hit like a fairy. So I was also surprised how much he has improved his punching power in his last few fights. I hope Dos Santos smashes Cain, but he'll probably just get taken down.
Thaigo vs Sanchez was a cool fight and lol at ortiz trying to stand up all fight, he didn't even try to clinch.

I'm a massive Jake Shields fan, that weight cut really hurt him, and tbh that's all his problem, if you cant get ready for a fight at a certain weight, move up a division. Being weak from a weight cut is as bad as having no cardio imo.
Brock got owned, I like Brock, win/lose, he always brings a crowd and that makes for exciting fights. But he doesnt like to get hit and he gasses trying to hit people, he needs to get himself into a decient camp to realise there is a big difference between his tin shed training camp and a professional Greg Jackson camp. Get in shape son, get some work with a proper striking coach, get angry, shave and come back strong.
edit : oh yeah fuck Tito, sack his useless ass, hes done, doubt even Strikeforce would be interested after his recent performances.
Most of the rest of the card was a bit meh.. imho the best fight was the Court McGee prelim, great fight.
