Whats the final decision?

In my opinion you should have it as 1.5, because there are no official rules for 1.6 as yet. Or if 1.6 is going to be used in pro-competitions or not.

Id suggest stick with 1.5 untill there is further word on official 1.6 rules etc.

ahahha there are never prizes at wonderlan, people play for fun..

if there was say $500 involved i think it would get people to come for the cs comp and it would be worth while

freeze: WonderLAN always has prizes. Many CS comps have recieved free jolt, and/or free entry to a WonderLAN as a prize.

Little Computers also always provide the LAN with prizes and giveaways for the event.

The problem with team games with lots of players is the price of getting multiple prizes to give to them. If you want something decent as a prize x 5 (for CS) = very expensive, and most sponsors can't afford to be forking out that much stuff each month.

If you want a cash prize of $500, it would require team entrants to pay extra to enter the comp just to provide the cost of the prize. I very much doubt anyone will want to do that.

Otherwise, where else do you proppose this cash prizemoney comes from?

If 1.6 is full version how come http://www.counter-strike.net hasnt announced it? Althought they have announced something about steam?

1.6 is still beta im sure of it.
Stick to 1.5 for the comp. Next wonderlan use 1.6 when its released properly.

oh well.. hopefully some 1.5 action will be happening.... because 1.6 FULL (only beta) hasnt been released. And the riot sheild is like immortal, u have to chase them till u can get behinde them and shoot them.. in real life if u shot theu that lil part u look thru, there head would get a lil *bink* noise off it..

Im all for other people wanting to take the initiative to run their own comps, but WonderLAN prizes are reserved for WonderLAN comps.

/me wishs Valve killed CS with v1.6

I'm sure CS 1.6 isn't a beta, and if its not the comp should be run with CS 1.6 however if its a beta, use CS 1.5; its like every time CS gets updated, people are always bitching about the new version. I remember when CS 1.4 came out, there were so many people bitching about it, but well whos bitching about it now? - no one really!

Not me, I'm still bitching about the new netcode in beta 6.5.
