Choose Wisely for the Zombie Apocalypse :)

1) A (i'd want to keep my distance)
2) C (best not to make too much noise, maybe crossbow because you can make ammo but it's bulky and slow)
3) B (sharp and strong, maybe machete for durability)
4) D (many uses, torch would be good but needs batteries)
5) A (can carry more stuff/people without being too big [rather a hilux]. Maybe dirt bike to get everywhere a car can't)
6) B (hot chick is all well and good, but i'd rather my girl, so someone bad-ass is best pick from those choices :P)
Whats your choices?

1A) *BOOM* Headshot for instant kill
2D) Crossbow for stealth and ability to retrieve ammo easier
3D) Much for durable and better for hacking body parts
4D) Good for picking locks and other odds and ends
5B) Better for scouting and getting around highways/rugged terrain
6D) Find myself a quiet location and repop the world, I've seen enough Man vs Wild to know I can drink my own piss if I have too.

1. C, with shotgun attachment. Set to single fire mode to conserve ammo when possible.
2. D. While bulky, you can recover arrows when possible and is easier to manufacture then bullets. If the Zombies are close enough to use a pistol then you are probably in trouble where a pistol isn't going to help much anyway.
3. A, Because a zombie with a busted leg/knee can't chase you very fast. It is easier to cripple a bone with a bludgeon then trying to cut tendons. Never have to worry about sharpness.
4. C, Good quality rope is hard to come by, flashlights will be everywhere.
5. Really depends on the environment, tank is out of the question. 4WD may have mobility issues in city's if car debris are everywhere. Dirtbike is great for light transport/recon. However if you stack it you have a high chance of becoming zombie food.
6. Bear Grylls without a doubt, his extensive terrain experience would be highly useful while traveling. He can also train me in the basics of using the firearms in question 1.

1) C. Single Fire + Scope for distance, Rapid Fire for Crowd, Burst Grenade for Oh Shit moments.
2) D. Reusable, Silent, Range.
3) Hmmm A or D. B is too hard to keep sharpend and C requires fuel (consumable) + loud.
4) D. Already have Scope on 2 weapons. Torch requires comsumables and it's pretty easy to see at night under star light anyway. Rope easy to find/make.
5) D. Only one you could use if/when Fuel runs out. Maybe A/C if I someone in the group can make Bio-diesel. Bike would be too loud + No protection. (Can Zombies swim in this scenario?)
6) D. Really need explaining?
Edit: Tolls reasoning has lead me to think A is the better choice for 3.

3. B light weight
4. C rope is useful
5. B lots of cars around blocking access (or a horse)
6. D cause all the others can't do useful shit without a movie/tv crew (fat kids slow you down, bait be gone in first 5min)

lol anybody who picks A for 1. Unless you have experience with a scope you have no clue how hard it is to hit a 100m target, let alone any further.
1D - Close range combat most of the time i assume
2B - Spray n pray
3B - Slicing limbs more effective i assume
4B - In case power out
5C - Cheat option. A if fuel for tank a problem
6D - Prefer moar boobage but any female better than none

1. A - has a scope and would be good for long distance
2. C - when I need to take out zombies quietly
3. A - baseball bat seems to be the strongest plus you could belt the shit outta stuff and it wont break
4. C - rope would come in handy
5. C - zombies are not going to get me inside a tank
6. D - Olivia Wilde for sex

6, D's a little off there Cheeze... Grylls does indeed have survivalist knowledge, long before his show.
Statham use to be (still is?) stupidly fit (was an Olympic Diver), has martial arts training. Though, Close combat experence probably isn't the best training (hello weapons/survival training) to have in a post-apoc environment.
Terry Crews is bound to be a strong bastard, which would be handy to have around.
I agree with your overall choice though, and your reasoning for E.

1. D - Cos I don't really know how to shoot a gun accurately, but with that, don't need to be so accurate to still do the damage.
2. A - Wouldn't want the uzi, would chew too much ammo and ammo could be hard to come by. Wouldn't want the crossbow, requires too much skill.
3. A - Knowing my luck if I went with a cutting weapon, it'd get stuck in the first zombie I attacked with it and it'd be lost (or get me fucked)
4. C - Rope is always useful, wouldn't want to be without rope in a situation like this
5. B - Roads would be choked with traffic, with a dirtbike you can still get through (as well as go offroad when needed)
6. A - Sifn't Bear Grylls, hes a survival expert, and thats what you need more than a muscled up beefcake or a tough guy

1.C - multiple modes of fire, can be used at shorter range as well as long range
2.D - reusable ammunition, and living in aus there isn't exactly shitloads of pistol ammunition lying around
3.A - sean of the dead teaches me that a cricket bat to the face kills zombies, so i would use the blunt weapon rather than having to rely on an edge that needs sharpening consistently
4.C - rope can used for many different things, although i'd waver towards D as well because knives are always handy too
5.A - because how else am I going to transport Olivia and myself around? I'm not good enough on a motorbike unfortunately.
6.D - because it's a zombie apocalypse and I will most likely be killed at some point, may as well enjoy my last little while on earth. I suppose bear grylls was in the SAS so he'd be the most handy out of the lot of them for practicality

lol's at everyone choosing bear grylls, I am 100% certain that drinking your own piss will not save you from fucking zombies guys!
1.C Spray and pray, and then finish off with a couple of grenades.
2.A Accuracy.
3.B A sharp Katana could take out a few zombies in one swing, chainsaw would run out of fuel like a cunt
4.C I can't even get home from my average bunnings trip without rope, that shit is invaluable
5.B Acceleration and easy manourvability
6.D Defs when it all ends would need to get my rocks off

Bear Grylls might be handy, but he's also a Jesus-freak, so you have to weigh that up.
For vehicles surely the motorcross is a no-brainer? Fuel is going to be an issue, so the tank and the hummer are out - and the motorcross will have you nipping in and out of the urban alleys no sweat.
Also, how is an RPG-7 listed as a primary weapon!? Da fuq.
Gadget deffo binos. My strat would be to stay max distance from the zombies and only fight if necessary.
Melee would have to be the machete, just for flexibility and to keep the kit light to move fast.

Hmm didn't know that bout him (never watched the show) that would definitely sway me away. Maybe you could convince him it's the rapture and he's left behind...
Bio-Fuel for the Hummer and Tank are easier to make, with more abundant resources, than Bio-Fuel for a Bike. Short term, yeah Fuel for the bike would be better. Long Term, no way.
If your primary / secondary weapon had a decent Scope, why would you need Binos?
Aluminium bat / Decent Machete are very comparable weight wise. Both around 1.5 lbs. Machete would be easier to transport (in a sheath) though I assume. More compact as well.

2. C for easy to carry whilst hiking around with my primary weapon. Again popular .cal weapons are handy to keep.
3. D Super reliable, easy to carry. Strong blade.
4. C Rope is vital
5. A Easier to pack, uses smaller amounts of fuel. Can get into forest/mountain dwellings easier, Enough protection from Human type speed bumps.
6. A Can handle himself. Probably has all his own equipment packed. Down side are the bottles of piss he may carry. Zombies may smell him out.

Guys, you wont be slicing through bone. There is a good chance that at some point your sharp instrument is going to get lodged in the bone of a zombie. Then you'll be fucked because the zombie has a functional bone and you have no machete. Bone crusher all the way.
Tank requires WAYYYYY to much fuel and maintenance.
You pretty much have to tale Grylls because all the others don't have the skill-set he does, and it isn't a skill-set you are likely to acquire quickly. He will teach you the basics of using your weapon with less ammo wastage then if you had to do it on your own, and he probably can tie a mean knot.

I chose the boat :o
Also, lots of people chosing rope... I think that in the early days of the event Rope would be easier to locate than a good Utility Tool... I also think that in the long run a good utility tool could also be used to make decent rope/bindings.
So for Long and Short term, I would prefer the tool. I guess it wouldn't be that hard to find a tool as well though, but I think a lot more places would stock suitable (easy to get to) rope than tools, which usually have limited in a display case and are sometimes locked away...
I have both in the Jeep anyway, so would be sorted.

Then you would chose somewhere like Moreton / Fraser where the drift would sweep their (naturally buoyant) bodies out to sea to be eaten by fish/other sea creatures. Edit: Also, most films have shown Zombies to be rather shit at climbing, a simple chain Wire Fence is enough to stop them. So i'm not sure how they would go climbing up an anchor rope, especially with the huge current that can rip through Moreton Bay.
Then you would catch Zombie fish though, eat them, and become a zombie yourself!
Or become a vegan. Not sure which fate is worse.

okay, he we go, the choices are shit so will change where needed
1. - C, use as a single shot, and the underslung launcher would be handy
2. D, noiseless, reusable ammo
3. fuck these picks, I would go a battle axe, part axe, part pike,
4. a crowbar would be more useful, or a good multitool
5. I would like one of those 8 wheeled farm bikes that can go over water, or better still a fully enclosed larc, high enough that zombies cant force their way in, yet not limited to much as to where it can travel, and safe to rest in
6. if i had my above choice, D all the way, and twice on sunday

I'd probably still pick Grylls just to be on the safe side but as time goes by I expect I'd be making him wear a dress and answer to Olivia if that counts...

Why Bear Grylls? Unless you happen to be camping while the Apocalypse happens you don't need him.
I would load my equipment up and go straight out to regional QLD jumping town to town using up all the food/water left in stores and homes etc. you wouldn't need a survival expert.

a tank really is pointless, the only okayish thing about them is they are secure from zombie ingress, no matter how hard they bang, however a zombie could still get you as you'd have to go outside at some point
that said the same could be said about a semi, zombies dont seem to be able to climb ladders, so a big truck would be safe, high from the ground and pretty unable to roll,
hell even a 737 or other aircraft would be good, (not parked at the aerobridge) good space inside, a clear view all around, (with it being an airport an all) why does no-one show that?

2 D - silent and ease of ammo
3 D - can hack through more then just zombies if needed
4 B - I cant see in the dark
5 B - fuel economy
6 D - I'm not gay

 1. C – Multiple fire modes, good at short, medium and long range.
2. D – Quiet, reusable ammo.
3. A – Bludgeoning is better than cutting for zombies, less open wounds or chance of damaging/losing the bladed weapon, let alone sharpening.
4. D – Swiss army knife for multi-tool goodness.
5. A – best all-terrain and protective cover vehicle from the selection.
6. A – As much as I’d like it to be Olivia, it has to be Bear Grylls.
Lolcats at people dissing Bear Grylls, that dude was in the SAS. Who would you rather in an apocalypse? Two action actors, a drama actress or a motherfucking ex-sas survivalist pro.

1. I'd go C, for reasons I will explain later.
2. I,d go C because it is probably the weapon I'd be using and having nfi how to use them it'd be the most suited.
3. B because I am pretty sure that it a Hanzo sword and I have some big fucking rats to kill.
4. C because I am sure rope would come in handy. I guess the rules of this game assume you just can't find some rope elsewhere as well. He would be the one handling the weapon and I reckon he'd be able to handle the m4 with grenade launcher quite well.
5. A because it is big, roomy and has the 4WD capabilities that will make zombie apocalypse living a breeze.
6. A, Bear Grylls. This guy is ex-SAS and has climbed Everest. Despite all his showmanship on Man vs. Wild those two things make him a hardass and an invaluable companion.

1) C - Simply put it's useful at close to medium range and you've got the underslung grenade launcher to create distractions or just plain old get you out of trouble.
2) D - Silent, can make or reuse the ammo. Will eventually break but not before A, B, or C have long run out of ammo and are completely useless.
3) B - Razor sharp, use it Michonne style like from The Walking Dead.
4) D - Tough choice but D is likely going to get you in to places where you'll find supplies. Would take rope but the uses are so much more limited.
5) A - Less of a learning curve over B or C and still provides good protection. Throw D on the roof rack :)
6) A - Bear is unemployed now so he's got nothing to lose. I'd take Olivia but all she'll do is scream (how you interpret that is up to you) and you're going to end up as dinner much quicker.

Why does no-one choose the boat.....
You'd still need something for land though. And there's nothing stopping zombies from walking or floating and they can make their way across to islands. Happened in Land of the Dead and the remake of Dawn of the Dead. A boat and land vehicle would be ideal and also if you could live on something like an oil rig. There's no way they could get you on that.
