Normal for a Black cat, they are far more intelligent and willing to do things than others. She is a ratter and will hunt for you if you call her. She'll will always want to see what is in boxes no matter the size. You will also note that she has chosen you as her master not the person who purchased her or wanted a cat.

There is a down side to that cat though. She will attack you without provocation and you will have scares to show for it.

Do her a favour though and don't use foil balls they damage their teeth and gums on them. Go to a pet shop and get a little toy mouse to chase after.

Not as dopey and lame as the dog in the vid.

Okay, maybe not in Australian climates. >25C and they're fucked, and you can't really get them wet, they're like fricking gremlins! (Don't get them wet, don't feed them after midnight...) :/

Or maybe just a sugar glider?

Uhuh, I think it has more to do with the breed than the colour dude :).

I have a burmese, same thing, she will fetch and return (to my lap, no drop in lap, no more throw) and she aint black (she is Lilac). Rolls over for belly rubs, and nibbles (A little nibble on the back of the hand which may hurt a human is actually them showing love, they have nerve endings quite deep under their fur so they need to bite quite hard to give a sensation but it's actually a cat kissing you).

Agree about the foil though, we just bought a load of Leather mice and she loves them.

I totally want a couple of ferrets but we've already got two cats and a dog, might be a bit much.

I never liked cats much but this one is a little champ.

Point taken on the alfoil.

Will look into getting her something betterer.

She is not arrogant. She isn't needy.
She likes to be fed on time but is happy enough to wait if it doesn't happen.
She just chills out and when the time comes is very appreciative.

Lovely little girl she is.

According to our good friends Google and Wikipedia.

"A single, full-length coat made from chinchilla fur may require as many as 150 pelts, as chinchillas are relatively small."

"The fur from chinchillas is popular in the fur trade due to its extremely soft feel, which is caused by the sprouting of 60 hairs from each hair follicle on average."

Apparently they cost in the several thousands.

In reading the Wikipedia article Chinchilla's are actually quite amazing little creatures.. can't believe we slaughter them by the hundreds to make coats!

I was outside the other night, working away and our stupid cat was there chewing away on a long bit of aluminium that comes off when you drill it. Obviously I didn't let her chew on it for long but wtf is up with cats chewing stuff? Ours chews EVERYTHING. Sticks, rocks, cardboard boxes, keys, screw drivers, random shit on the ground, spanners, the lever that makes my computer chair go up & down, MY HAIR (while I'm trying to sleep no less).
