In my mind:

Learning to use cmd+tab (app switch) and cmd+~ (window switch)

Use expose/mission control if you are looking for a specific window/app.

Use cmd+m to hide a window
Use cmd+h to hide an application

Use fullscreen button if you want something full size, then 3 finger swipe between screens

Windows 7 style snapping:

Total Finder is hands down my favourite app. Basically fixes the POS that is finder and makes it control like a web browser with tabs and what not.

if you use the 'upward swipe' gesture with three fingers it makes it a piece of piss to find anything.

Instead of installing (what I presume to be) bloatware, have a crack at some of the newer features of the OS, and you'll soon realise that the new version of OSX is superior to the new version of Windows....

unless you want to game on it, then you'll need windows in order to run your high end mice, (the only thing i could think of off the top of my head)

im going to give some of these a try, i recently reinstalled my hacos drive with mountain lion.

nothing gets a mac fanboy upset like running macos on a 900$ pc that outperforms his $3k mac pro.

Yeah, Total Finder. I've never used OS X with normal Finder so am always confused by peoples issues with it.

These threads are great but people need to add a tiny little description of what each program does.

Not hard, it's a tablet / phone OS they jiggered up into working on a desktop.

I'd buy one just for retina display!

Except nobody would buy a 3k mac pro. Anyone paying the money for a mac pro (ie they need processing or expansion) would go for a 12 core machine.
