Well due to a sudden and profitable quick contract job, I had to spend the blings (um.... contract hardware expenses) before the wife saw it. So what the heck, upgrade to a 3gig P4 on the max 3 and score some amazing X800XT-PE goodness.

Now, what to do with the 'old' 9800Pro and 2.6 northwood? The upshot... a certain 5yr old kid now has an Asus P4P-800 running the spare gear; and he has no concept the leetness of the box of numbers he's now playing with.

Well one thing's for sure, he's really enjoying DOW now!

a) I do more video encoding than anything and All my other systems are 875 based so it was convenient to have interchangablity across the board. Also I've had the best ever run in regards to reliabilty since going Intel; (years of VIA/AMD still leaves nightmares). Still it was a real tough call though.

b) And yeah, tactically he's still weak, a real turtler, but can progress to lvl 3 tech and get armour cranked out albeit slower than the comp AI. hes a little champ though, and even doesn't cry when he gets PWNED.. :P

Talking about upgrades, after my first pay came in last night im gonna buy me some nice shiny new bits and pieces =)
