Seems not everyone can be absent of job losses, even if you are owned by Google. Apparently the company is cutting one-third of the 4,000 jobs in the 94 global offices that Motorola operates, citing that Motorola "plans to leave unprofitable markets, stop making low-end devices and focus on a few cellphones instead of dozen".
"We're excited about the smartphone business. The Google business is built on a wired model, and as the world moves to a pretty much completely wireless model over time, it's really going to be important for Google to understand everything about the mobile consumer."
Wondering if this was a move from Google to focus more on their smartphone line, and having less sinking assets.
