Yeah it's pretty crazy the story that has come out about the captain. Painted him as a massive soft-cock with no concern for the lives of his passengers. The transcript of the radio exchange is damning of his actions.

He tripped into the lifeboat. That's awesome. The courier mail site was saying he got into a taxi once he was on shore and left the scene. Dunno how true that is but that's hilarious as well.

You got it wrong, he tripped, fell in to that taxi and it drove away while he was trying to get out.
