Puppy thrown out of bedroom window, woman faces animal cruelty charges

Holy crap, some people are mentally unstable. This woman was apparently "drunk" and agressive, and decided to thrown her eight month old puppy out of a window.
It is alleged an intoxicated and "aggressive" Maihi then "picked up the dog by its collar" and took him into her bedroom where, using two hands, she threw him out the window.
"The dog gave a loud yelp, but remained motionless," documents tendered to the court claimed.
A witness went to check on the dog, but was allegedly confronted by Maihi. Documents allege Maihi then "took hold of one of the dog's paws and began to pull it. When the witness yelled at the accused to leave the dog alone, she stated 'don't worry, it's my dog'."

Somebody should throw her out a window onto a concrete driveway and see how she likes it.

Really fucking pisses me off when people do stuff like this. What a disgusting person to do that to a little animal.

Sounds like she's completely fucked in the head, she should have thrown herself off the balcony.
I have no tolerance towards animal cruelty, to in essence harm a creature that has absolutely no ill will towards you is fucking abhorrent.

Poor doggy. Even though my dog pisses me off sometimes (he gets stupidly over frightened by fireworks that he destroys anything in his attempt to get inside) I would never throw him out a window.
Not surpising, its Kingswood. A feral bogan suburb yet to go through its reinvention and that is generally a horrible place to be. For those not familiar, its like Logan if it was flushed down a toilet, became a rolling ball of feces, eaten by a whale and shitted out again.
Its not very far from my place (maybe 15 mins drive). Amazing what a couple of suburbs can change.
With more and more ex housing commission suburbs being sold off to private ownership and a general gentrification process happening due to this (nicer occupants, nicer kept homes, value increases, more facilities, which drives up rents and forces the scum out of the suburbs), Kingswood is one of the remaining shitholes that they all congregate to.
I own a rental house in Cambridge Park which is the suburb north of Kingswood, the further north in the suburb you go (ie away from Kingswood) the more expensive houses (and rents) get.

Wish my boy as as good as yours.. I have 5 layers of meshed duct tape on the door and window frames around the pergola/patio that he can access, to stop him damaging them when he goes nuts and wails on them to get inside.
The other night he was particularly bad and chewed through the tape and scraped off the powder coating down to bare metal on the sliding door. He also wails on the doors and frames until his nails are bleeding. He has lost a tooth from chewing frantically on metal door frames trying to get in.
I can chain him up, but he almost chokes himself trying to wrench himself free, and has broken chains and collars getting off (he is a husky and has very strong shoulders). If chained up he yelps constantly in a frenzy.
If I let him inside he feels safe and lays down and sleeps. Which is fine when we are home, but if theres thunder or fireworks when we are out, we get home and start looking for the damage

He arrived at the hospital covered in fleas and in desperate need of care, love and affection, Dr Goldsmid said.
"When he came in he was a bit disorientated from hitting his head and he was crying," she said.
:(
That melts even my hardened, cynical heart

You aren't cynical (you are actually one of the more optimistic people I have ever met), you're heart is hardened due to caffeine and pizza. The fitness freaks will say its bad, but has anyone ever been reported as dying while eating a pizza ? ... can you say the same for jogging!

What about cows? We kill tens of thousands of them every day. Where's the posts complaining about that? It's a puppy.. She owned it, she is free to do whatever she wants with it.

to be fair teq, he wasn't "eating it" he was "choking on it"
that would be like jogging and getting hit with a car, jogging wasn't the cause, the car was
eating the pizza wasn't the cause, choking was
sure the act in both cases leads to death, but isn't the cause,
(just ask crazy john how healthy walking is)

Stevo for real or trolling? Cows are killed humanely, not tortured.

Cows are killed humanely, not tortured. So your reaction would be the same if she had "humanely" killed the puppy?

If she was to eat the puppy afterwards, or if she was putting it down because it was sick or injured.
Weird how we associate different emotions towards different animals.

This dog was thrown out of a window, onto concrete pavement. There is nothing that you could link this animal cruelty act to how cows are treated in parts of the world. Yes there are other acts of animal cruelty, maybe even more severe and cruel. But this is still just as bad, and the person doing it should not be given any benefit of the doubt.

That's great scoobs (I didn't open your link but I have an idea of what it's about) but I'm talking about cows that actually are humanely killed. I'm not that naive lol.
