every time i go to play a game it crashes to the desktop without an error message

I heard that there is 2 methods.

The one I used:

When i started up the game loaded and then i pressed ctrl-alt-del then to task mangager i went to prosseseor and i right clicked battlefront 2 and went to set affiny i clicked it and there wuz an error message.

plz help i got this game from my dad .
