new high end agp gfx cards?

will there be any new agp graphics cards? I was sure I read an article that said the x1800 series would also come out in agp as well, but alas I cant find it again. If this generation is skipped altogether, will we see new high end agp cards with the ati r580 chipset or the next nvidia chipset?

if there is it will be held back by the agp. they went to pci-e cause there wasnt enough bandwidth with agp

i doubt that, apart from hd tv nothing comes close to having not enough bandwidth on the agp slot

Well the agp bandwidth may not be saturated yet but it doesnt mean they have to wait till it has been till they upgrade the slot. (looking to the future). As far as i know they arnt making anymore agp cards so if you want to upgrade you better do it now. The 6800 ultra will be the fastest nvidia card using the agp socket.

agp has had a good run, pcie is now here to replace it. its just time for people to get a pcie motherboard at their next upgrade.
