Holy f*****g s*** that looks like fun. Why can't we have awesome stuff like that here?
that looks kick ass. probably violates so many australian safety laws.

haha Mr health and safety would not approve.
Wasn't there something like this in the Blue Mountains in the early 80's?
Probably not as long but I'm pretty sure there was some insane coaster there, the track followed the cable car thingo down the hill, which was STEEP, and went out over the cliff edge.
EDIT: it is actually still getting built, 20+ years later :/
Rumours of carriages crashing 200 metres to the floor of the valley below and the train returning with sandbag test dummies missing have kept tourists and locals intrigued.

There was a Grass Ski and a Bobsled/Toboggan track in Samford eons ago
There are controllable brakes for the rider, it's just he didn't use them on his go. Check his other vid, there's heaps of people bunched up near each other on the things.
super cool thing though.
Was that back in the 80's scuzzy? I remember there was a grass skiing place on the way to the Big Pineapple and there was also a waterslide place up that way too.
Man... that roller coaster went for AGES! Wonder how long it takes to get back up the top for another go :)
Was that back in the 80's scuzzy?80's or early 90's I'm guessing, but yeah, it was definitely the Samford area.

There was a Grass Ski and a Bobsled/Toboggan track in Samford eons agoI barely remember going on the toboggan at Samford, must have been around 1990 and it wasn't on a rail but rather a water-slide/half tube setup.

there was some amusement park in adelaide somewhere and they had the toboggan ride. I remember my old man and I going nuts on it. so many years ago, ahh the memories. so these toboggan things were closed down cause they awere deemed unsafe?

driving is unsafe.
so is crossing the road and flying in an aeroplane.
Woopty f*****' do, all there should be is a signed thing saying. I am doing this understanding I may die. etc. That way people can still do the crazy s*** that they love (to get their thrills etc)!
Instead of do it anyway, die and then not let anyone else do it.
Like sky diving, you can die from a parachute twist if the wind does a certain thing so!?
no helmets and you control your own speed, so what happens if you come up behind some fat ass middle aged woman going slow and belt into the back of them?
Would be wicked if you knew nobody was in front of you though...
Like sky diving, you can die from a parachute twist if the wind does a certain thing so!?I have no clue what that means, you don't sound like you skydive.
chub you're my hero cos you do skydive
You just can't go making stuff up.
qmass I vaguely remember that happening on the Samford one quite a bit.
Also happened HEAPS at Aussie World, so many possibilities for injury on that ride.
