Need boot space, not another way to not reverse park. FWDs just ass in, handbrake and spin the wheel till they fit. The rest of us just learn to reverse in.

would have been handy with sensors otherwise would be hard to judge distance to swing that baby around.

why haven't we seen cars with hydraulic powered front wheels that can turn 90 degrees to the vehicle? Normal power would come from the rear wheels and the fronts would just free roll while not in use but when you want to turn on a dime the fronts would turn 90 degrees and be powered by hydraulics. Works for forklifts.

FWDs just ass in, handbrake and spin the wheel till they fit.

My FWD handbrake was good enough to hold the car on a hill but not quite strong enough to enable you to do this trick. The tyres had too much grip & just overpowered the handbrake.

money and demand? an extra 10 grand and 200/300kg system to do something you might only use once?

I usually don't park my car near anyone else unless I have no alternative. That fifth wheel system would hold up traffic.
