Watched it last night, was a great documentary and showed just how much of an influence Queen and Freddie were. Some never-before-seen footage shown that was really eye opening.

Love the napper programs. I use all 3, ABC, 7, SBS.

Just need 9 & 10 to get some decent catch up sites going so the napper team can make ones for them.

There is also an interesting looking one by Keanu Reeves called Side by Side, about the transition from film to digital movies. He interviews directors like Martin Scorsese, James Cameron and George Lucas.

Thx for the heads up; will check this out.

I think we can all happily agree that Queen is the best band ever.

I've seen Brian May from Queen perform (at the Alexandra Hills Hotel); he was aaaaaaaaaaaaaawesome.

Also saw Queen + Paul Rodgers in Paris a couple years ago. It was a great concert but it will always be a great regret is that I never got to see Freddie Mercury perform live.

I remember at the old National Hotel seeing the Saints and afterwards the whole floor was about an inch or two deep of broken glass just like snow on the ground. Was an awesome concert. A mate jumped up on stage and sang with Chris Bailey.

I saw INXS when they were still undiscovered and they were and have always been s***e. Saw Midnight Oil when not famous as the support act for the Ramones concert. At the Ramones concert there were punks running around with WW1 German Helmets with the spikes on top. They were headbutting each other. Oh the fun in the ole days.

When I was at the Stranglers concert a bloke was spitting on the lead guitarest. Funnily enough the guitarest hit him over the head with his guitar. So funny.

me too, disagree with them being s*** though.

saw them at the old Festival Hall in Brisbane when they were support to The Angels. After a couple of songs everyone was shouting "we want Doc". we smoked some weed before under the Vic bridge and smuggled in a bottle of vodka and mixed it with bought fanta in cups.....ahh the good old days :-)

Yeah I saw many f those bands at Festival Hall. Also at Cloudland.

Nah INXS were s***e and I didn't see them at Festival I saw them at the National Hotel when 4ZZZ used to hold bands there. Used to drop trips and go drink, watch and f*** around at the National. One time we played touch footy on the second floor and got about 20 people into it. Must say the bouncers were none too happy. Gee I miss my youth, growing up in a housing commission area and running totally a muck. Those were the days.
