Well... travels to another planet, has a similar phenotype, and is able to burrow into and repair human skulls, and does all this for some elaborate biological-technology plan? >_> I suspect by the time that we leave the solar system, we would have nanotech, which would make any evolved parasites seem relatively useless.

nanotechnology is just a mechanised version of biological entities.
Ultimately it would make sense if future technology became biological.
We just arent capable of that kind of technology, yet.
