Its really not often when a song stops you in your tracks and gives you that "holy f&ck" moment.
I heard this on triple j today and it almost caused me to crash my car. Wow is all I can say:
VIDEO
So.. What 1 song has had that effect on you?

Great tune. You should look into "The Panics" if you don't know the band. Very similar sound.
Pretty much anything Bon Iver gives me that feeling - and his lyrics don't even make sense.

Now pinky - that was one sweet recommendation - just jumped on Panics - endless road, kickass sound!

Not sure if this is in the same vein, I'm not a huge fan of their work but this song blew me away and seems to be a similar style to what you posted.

That cover of Running up that hill is one of my fave tracks.
Also love Placebo's cover of Daddy Cool which featured in Trackmania.

Yeah I like that version of running up the hill, isn't it part of the twilight sound track? I first heard it on Bones though so does that mean it's still cool to like it?
I don't know about giving me a "holy fuck" moment as the OP put it but these two songs bring up memories of my childhood and some of the happier moments:

I'm moved more by soundtracks and orchestral music than anything else. Every time I listen to the Inception soundtrack, for example, I get goosebumps. That's a different feeling than say, No Surprises or Let Down by Radiohead. Keeping with the Inception soundtrack as an example, some tracks make me feel like I'm waiting for something, some make me feel "epic" (not sure what that would mean but hey), some sad and mournful.
I listened to the OP's track and it didn't move me, though I didn't mind the track. It's pretty subjective. Those two Radiohead songs I can relate to in ways and the way they're played helps the lyrics. Paranoid Android has a weird feel for me. It's subtle but its their. It's a song that I'm not just musically listening to, but feeling as well.
Another example of moving music for me is Absolution by Muse. Some of the tracks do give this sense of urgency.

That Skrillex tune they are playing on the wireless goes off - that new Deltra Goodreem song gets my spinal shivers cranking so I'm trying not to get blasted with it as much as I can. :)
