Yeah meant to be all of them redone in 3D then if it gets a good reception its rumored (heard ages ago so no link to source) that there might be a new series 10,11,12 set as those numbers to signify how far in the future it is from the saga.
Personally I would prefer a movie based around TOR.
Nah lucas said himself he is done making star wars movies (or is that films in general) because he is sick of people telling him he is doing such a bad job. Butt hurt much?

These rumours have popped up every time they've re-released Star Wars. It's not going to happen.
I'd like to see Speilberg and Tarrantino make a new Star Wars movie. The action and dialogue would be awesome. Lucas could be behind the scenes thinking up new characters/races.
Lucas doing the story, Speilberg bringing the story to life and Tarrantino doing the speach? I'd dig that.
I won't rush out to see this in 3d, but if I'm heading to the cinema while it's out and there isn't anything else about I might see it. More excited by:
I watched Ep 1 again when I received my bluray box set and honestly, I remembered it being a lot worse than it actually is. I really enjoyed it. Darth Maul Duel of the Fates is beyond epic.

Done making big hollywood style movies after being turned down by a bunch of movie studios with his latest movie Red Tails but going to focus on low budget student style films instead.
Haha, that first trailer was terrible and spoiled so much stuff for kids. Terrible.
I'm not the biggest fan of Ep1 but I think I'll still check it out, just for old times sake and I've always kinda wanted to see the podrace in 3D.
The best part of the movie is the short saber fight between Obi Wan and Darth Maul. It's a real shame that it's not longer, as I reckon it's the best choreographed and shot fight scene of the prequals.
nah that fight in ep3 was too long, that whole middle bit climbing that shit and then surfing the lava, meh. The start bit and in the room and the obviously the ending to the fight are important, but the rest is filler.
Phantom menace and all the early special effects shots brought in 3D are a curiousity.
What I'll really be impressed to see are the technological breakthroughs those movie wizards at Lucasfilm had to make with AotC to bring Hayden Christensen's character performance first into 2D and then into the 3D world.

Yeah, I had the same experience, at least until the kid playing Annakin said "Yippee!" then I remembered how it killed my childhood.
I don't think I will EVER get over the fact that Obi Wan defeats Annikan "because he has the high ground" yet Obi Wan manages to kill Darth Maul flipping up after hanging a meter down that chasm......
To be fair, Obi wan was fully expecting Anakin to jump over him whereas Darth Maul was like 'haha what are you going to do now puny jedi...oh wtf.. shit!'
Are all the Star Wars movies coming back again in 3D?
Yep. One per year. So the "real" movie trilogy starts Feb 2015. Of course, if you didn't like the Blu-ray cuts of those movies, you won't like them in 3D.
Aren't they making a live action star wars tv show?
Yes. But too expensive to make, and no network will take a 100 episode commitment. I honestly think the show will only ever be produced and sold when the world's view of broadcast changes (ie. the global vision of ppv 'al a carte' TV)

Woah they are actually doing this? Love riddick, even the second one. I know there are haters out there. But f-em.
I think that the prequels make for fun'ish crazy sci fi movies with pretty empty characters, and the clone wars show swings wildly between great and terrible. They don't do justice to the universe created in the original three movies though. :(
Well just came back from seeing this movie, and while the visuals were interesting the experience was fucking shit, the audio wasn't great, the price was far too hefty - $20 a ticket and then almost the same again for drinks and popcorn, and worst of all it was full of restless annoying kids with obnoxious parents. Chomping on home brand cheezels out of lunchboxes, licking sugar out of the bottom of donut king bags, clicking their toy guns, sitting in and running up and down the aisles playing with the aisle lights, having random outbursts, having conversations like the fat bitch near me goes to her kids "what would you do if you had to leave me and become a jedi?". There were people that didn't get to sit in their allocated seats because the aforementioned fat bitch decided her seats weren't good enough and took different ones then refused to move.
It's gonna take more gimmicks than 3D glasses to get my bum back in those seats again.
And you thought it would be worth seeing? Cinema 3D is dodgy at best. If you're gonna watch it in 3D you should wait and watch it on bluray. 3D tv's looks way more crisp and clear.
