I found it funny, but I also thought it came off a lot more conservative and pulling punches, which is unfortunate.

I too would have to agree though that Gervais style of comedy is based around portraying a bitter character.

Was happy to hear Matt LeBlanc won something for his role in the TV show Episodes. If you haven't watched it, go do it, it's fucking great. I am still not sure if they are making a Season 2 but I sure hope so.

I thought Gervais was better than last year. I thought getting cheap laughs from making jokes about people were a bit below him so it was good to see him come back to his usual self.

Gervais' humour is as others have said, bitter and to the point. Which is why I like his comedy, it's not putting veils over your eyes, he doesn't suck up to celebrities, he pays them out for how they try to act either all mighty and high, or the give to the poor character.

All the interviews I see of Ricky, he comes across as someone who just takes the piss out of everything and has as much fun as possible. I don't think he's bitter or negative at all.
