Fixah, I don't think the flag is real but uses the same green and orange from the Indian flag. I'd say if they don't mention an actual country then they are trying to make it less Arab and more 'some Asian country'.
I pissed myself watching that trailer. Nothing how I imagined it would be, I thought it was a serious movie since it's based on Saddam Hussein's novel.
Who the fuck watches any of the above movies and laughs? Seriously get a life.
Wow, I feel really sorry for you man. I mean don't get me wrong I think there is certainly what you could call good and bad comedy and there will always be different tastes, but to actually feel the need to go out of your way to speak down to people just because they enjoy some particular light entertainment that you don't, well you must be a pretty angry and joyless person inside.
The second trailer is a bit of a shame. Now I know what the movie is really about and takes the mystery out of it. I could have gone into the cinema and being pleasantly surprised... fuck why did i watch that trailer, damn you!
Fat kid kick, slap and in the chopper got the only lols for me.
Dunno if i like the idea of fallen arab dictator finding himself in the USA. I would have preferred another bruno / borat style movie with the focus on getting reactions out of unsuspecting Americans with a arab acting crazy (and looking like a potential terrorist).

As I've said in other trailer threads, don't watch more than 50% of any trailer as that's when the major, major spoilers kick in that can ruin the whole experience. In the second trailer, the main spoiler (him walking the streets) kicked in at 1m16sec / 2m33 sec. It's as if the 50% thing is a rule ...

Opposite for me, until I saw the second trailer I wasn't going to even bother seeing the movie, now I'm interested
davo if he did a mockumentary in the states pretending to be a crazy arab, it'd be over pretty soon when one of faceman's concealed carry playmates pulls out his handgun and shoots him in the face
i'm avoiding the trailers etc cos i'm looking forward to this one in the cinemas
Yeah don't like that. I think his tele series out shines any of his movies. He is quick witted
I used to think this was the case when I was 13.
Every damn thing this guy says is set-up.
Figure it out.
Yeah...first post, long time lurker - so brave.

Have you seen the TV show?
I am sure the TV interviews a la Morning TV are set up at least to an extent with pre scripted questions, but the TV show was often interviewing unsuspecting members of the general public. Surely you don't think he hired actors for every scene or that untrained interviewees were coached and then "acted" naturally?
Nah this mrdamn guy obviously has it all figured out. I can't wait to hear more of his opinions as he becomes more brave and forthcoming here on an internet forum. He should go give his opinion in the Vitamin Pills thread there are some docters posting in there already!
I reckon Sacha Baron Cohen has a bit of the olde Peter Sellers in him. Love to see him in a movie with truly great writers and directors behind it to see what he can really do.

Yeah, my point was that he writes his material beforehand and then asks questions to set himself up. The comedy is brilliant, but he's no improv master.
Glad you can't wait for more bravery, friend. xoxo
I saw this today and it was hilarious. It was seriously offensive and he gave shit to every country that isn't a democracy, as well as the USA. The jabs at Iran were subtle compared to the rest but very prominent.
Definitely worth seeing, the whole cinema was in stitches.

SBC is a tool of the illuminati.
The jibes at the USA are to make it not completely obvious.
Only they can hide in plain sight from the all seeing eye.
Ju8t got back from the movie, and I concur with dais and infi- it was fucking hilarious. pretty much was smiling and laughing through the whole thing haha. I loved the way they took the piss out of exaggerated stereotypes hahaha
Yeah movie was entertaining but I think some jokes were so offensive I was more in shock than rolling around the floor laughing. There were some scenes my partner didn't understand as she doesn't understand much about dictatorship such as who the movie was dedicated too lol
MIB3: Was a good movie needed more aliens and gadgets imo but still a good wrap (possibly) to the trilogy

Lol. You give mrdamn a hard time for sharing his opinion and then come up with this gem.
classic !!!!!!
This film really did have a different feel to it. Borat has a documentary feel, (obviously), but this felt like more of a satirical comedy blockbuster. Very enjoyable.
